In partnership with ESCA School Wanderers (the Elite Sporting & Cultural Academy), JvW Girls Football Development is proud to offer a complete academic and football curriculum for a select group of 20 elite girls who are interested in making a career out of football.
Margie La Grange, Director and Principal of ESCA, will head up the academic needs of the girls. Margie has been involved in the education industry for over 26 years, and her vision is to revolutionise education in South Africa. She inspires learners to be accountable, resourceful and she endorses the latest and best teaching and learning techniques.
The JVW Girls Football Development Program was founded in 2012 by the South African Senior Women’s National Team captain, Janine van Wyk. Janine, who will head up the soccer programme, has been playing football since the age of 5 and currently the highest capped footballer in South Africa. She aims to give young girls the opportunity to play football in a structured and competitive environment, where they have opportunity to achieve their goals and aspirations in the sport.
