INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS SPONSORED FOR THE 2021 SEASON

After being dormant for over a year, JVW Football Club went into the 2021 Hollywood bets super league, with high hopes of competing for a top position in their debut season. Playing in the highest league in the country brings with some challenges for Women’s football clubs, as they hustle to look for sponsors and partners to back the women’s game at club level.

In what was a strategic but risky move to bring in more partners and sponsors into the JVW Football Club, with the launch of Individual Player Sponsorship option, has now become a recurring hit amongst local businesses and individuals to get behind our superstars.

Women’s football is growing at a rapid rate, and with the launch of the SAFA Women’s National League in 2019, it has given many players hope of one day playing professionally within the borders of South Africa, without having to balance a full time job and playing the sport they love.

Whilst it was always a tough task to generate large sums of money to assist with the successful running of a professional club, the management team put their heads together to come up with another way to bring in smaller amounts of funds, to assist with important things like Pre match meals, flights, and most importantly player allowances.

We have been fortunate enough to secure 7 Individual Player sponsors of the past three months, and remain optimistic that we will hopefully have all 23 players sponsored before the end of the Season. Not only do the companies or Individuals sponsor the player, they also become a big part of the JVW Family.

We would like to of course thank the companies and Individuals for coming on board and getting behind the JVW players, and we look forward to welcome them to our Home Venue, Tsakane Stadium, as soon as spectators are allowed to watch the matches live.
