JVW Gems represent at the annual Fran Hilton Smith Tournament.

The Fran Hilton Smith Tournament takes place annually were 240 of the best u13 girls compete, allowing young aspiring female footballers to show case their skills.

The tournament will take place 3-6 August at Camp Discovery, Dinokeng Game Reserve.

This year we have we’re proud to have five of our Gems representing JVW in this prestigious u13 interprovincial schools soccer tournament.

We would like to congratulate Hannah Richen (13), Asante Cele (13), Atlegang Masemola (13), Ofentse Molekoa (13) and Amahle Nyoka (13).

They will be joined by an additional 25 players who were selected through district trials that were held for the various schools by the Johannesburg Primary Schools Football Association, bringing the total of the squad to 30 players who will be representing Johannesburg and Southern Johannesburg at the tournament.

They will be joining their respective teams at the start of the tournament. The players who were selected Johannesburg Primary Schools Football Association will be divided into seven different teams (Wildcats, Panthers, Elephants, Bears, Dragons, Tigers and Wolves) joining their teammates from the various regions.
