JVW Trio selected for World Cup Qualifiers

Maponya, Motlhalo and Salgado have been announced in the Final 22-player squad for a crucial World Cup Qualifier. The players reported to camp on the 4th January 2018.

The South African U20 Women’s National Team (Basetsana) are currently preparing to take on Nigeria in the Final round of qualifiers, where they seek to book their place in the 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

The prestigious tournament is set to take place from 5 – 24 August 2018, in France. The South African team have travelled to Polokwane and will face Nigeria this Saturday, 13 January, which will be the first of two legs in this crucial match up. Basetsana will then travel to Nigeria two weeks later for the second leg. The selected trio as well as Tyla-Bree Joss joined the South African team during the festive break where they travelled with the team to Ghana for an International Friendly just hours before the start of the New Year.
