“As a former owner of the local Mitre brand, and many other sport brands, I’m proud to have used our experience in launching a truly top-end range of balls in South Africa that emanate from the best factories that currently produce the world’s leading balls. We have always been impressed with JVW FC and their vision for the future and am delighted to have come to an agreement which will see our brands aligning and the Vita ball being used for all their home matches. It is also exciting to know that some of South Africa’s top female players such as Amanda Dlamini, Mamello Makhabane and Nompumelelo Nyandeni will have a feel for the newly launched ball and we are definitely backing the team ahead of their debut season in the SAFA Women’s National League. ”

“The exponential growth in women’s football is remarkable and JVW FC are an incredibly well-managed club that is constantly striving to improve the game in the Country. The women’s game deserves much more attention and recognition and we hope this may be a small catalyst to generate more corporates into supporting women’s football. By aligning with a club of this stature, we hope that other corporates come on board to show a similar kind of support in the near future“

Janine van Wyk, JVW FC Founder thanked Vita for their support of JVW FC and the support of women’s football. “We are pleased to have partnered with Vita especially during these trying times, and commend the brand for getting involved and backing women’s football. This sponsorship has come at the right time, especially as the Mitre contract had come to an end and we appreciate Vita’s confidence in our players and club.”
